Bray to Greystones Clifftop Walk is a straight walk that takes you along a beautiful coastal path. The walk is moderate and is mostly on a footpath, there are some steps towards the end, it is about seven kilometres in total and takes about two and a half hours. It starts on Bray Seafront and ends at Greystones Harbour. If you do not wish to do the return journey you can take the DART back. The path is generally good but, in some places it is well worn, so care is needed at times. The route does not get too crowded even on a nice day. As you walk along you can marvel at the dramatic views along the steep cliffs and down to the Irish Sea, take in the stunning sea views, the marine wildlife and birds that are in abundance. It is a thoroughly enjoyable walk as the coastline is on one side for the entire length and you can see Bray Head and fields on the other.
Once you reach Greystones you can take a well deserved rest, there are lots of choices when it comes to getting refreshments or a bite to eat, from the many local healthy eateries.
The walk is suitable for most age groups, just ensure you have on a comfortable pair of shoes. With so much to see you don’t feel the time or kilometres passing by, a great fun way to get some exercise and fresh sea air too. Don’t forget to take the camera, there are lots of photo opportunities enroute.
